چکیده

One way to address preferences in Multi-Agent negotiation scenarios, is to devise a strategy for removal of contradictions, which may arise when the preferences of all agents are put together. This paper contributes towards that goal by proposing a methodology, based on declarative diagnosis, that minimises the losses of all agents (i.e. the number of preferences they have to yield in order to find a consensus) as negotiations are iterated; in other words, it will bias negotiations towards cooperation. Instead of considering explicit priorities among agents and/or preferences, the method herein presented proposes a dynamical approach (i.e. with memory of history). A cost function that considers generic features of the solution (e.g. the quantity of preferences relinquished by agents) is employed in order to obtain a generic approach, avoiding excessive use of application dependent parameters.

Multiple Negotiations among Agents for a Distributed Meeting Scheduler

We present a method for multi-agent negotiation for implementing a distributed meeting scheduler. In the meeting scheduler, an agent negotiates with other agents about making an public schedule by referring user’s private schedules and preferences. We propose a new persuasion method for multi-agent negotiation for reflecting private preferences. We call the method the multiple negotiations. In ...

Improving Agent Performance for Multi-Resource Negotiation Using Learning Automata and Case-Based Reasoning

In electronic commerce markets, agents often should acquire multiple resources to fulfil a high-level task. In order to attain such resources they need to compete with each other. In multi-agent environments, in which competition is involved, negotiation would be an interaction between agents in order to reach an agreement on resource allocation and to be coordinated with each other. In recent ...

A Dynamic, Optimal Approach for Multi-Issue Negotiation Under Time Constraints

Multi-issue negotiation can lead negotiators to bi-beneficial outcomes which are not applicable in single issue negotiation. In a multiissue negotiation, a negotiator’s preference has a significant impact on the negotiation result. Most existing multi-issue negotiation strategies are based on an assumption that a negotiator will fix its predefined preference throughout a negotiation, and the ne...

Prediction of the Opponent's Preference in Bilateral Multi-issue Negotiation Through Bayesian Learning

In multi-issue negotiation, agents’ preferences are extremely important factors for reaching mutual beneficial agreements. However, agents would usually keeping their preferences in secret in order to avoid be exploited by their opponents during a negotiation. Thus, preference modelling has become an important research direction in the area of agent-based negotiation. In this paper, a bilateral...
